I: Executive Summary
Uptown Dog is a training, boarding, day care, and grooming facility that will be located on the edge of Uptown Dallas. Uptown Dog will provide five star service and full outdoor/indoor playground and training area. Unlike most enclosed dog boarding and training facilities in the downtown/uptown area, this facility will be located on a 9,000 square foot lot off of the corner of Hall Street and North Central Expressway, which will include a training arena, playground, grooming salon, and boarding quarters. We will offer one on one treatment including extra activity and playtime based on each of our clients needs and desires, different levels of training from obedience to agility to dancing, and offer a clean and healthy environment, thus leading to a less stressed, healthy, and trained pet.
Now that Dallas is rediscovering urban living with more apartments and condominiums being built in the uptown/downtown area, there has been a significant increase in the population over the past five years and is forecasted to continue this trend for many years to come. Since most residents living in the uptown/downtown area are young active business professionals with limited time to spend with their pets, this would be a greatly needed service. Additionally, most pet owners live in apartments or condominiums and require pets to be confined indoors eighty to ninety percent of the day, which can lead to lack of exercise of the pet.
