...the context of these pieces are understood easily compared to medieval alliteration. But even with a change in understanding and a large time gap there are similarities. One includes a strong religious meaning and in the core cortex the very meanings of morality. Also these stories share many themes, good and evil, power struggle and some share love.  
Good versus evil is one of the most commonly used themes in literature, especially Edmund Spenser’s “Faerie Queene”. The story consists of a knight who must save the day and win the hand of his true love. The other story I choose was Paradise Lost, the first battle of good vs. evil, and in the end one of these stories good will conquer and in the other evil wins. The book we read of the Faerie Queene opens with the leading character Britomart on her way to find her true love, but stops to help a fellow knight who sob’s for his missing love. So as a hero she puts aside her own quest to save a damsel in distress, yes pretty typical. Our knight is the very symbol of heroic she is a knight in shining armor shellfishes and ready for battle for a just cause.   Then we have our axis Busirane

From the beginning of the poem, good vs. evil, or more specifically Heaven vs. Hell and God vs. Satan. Satan has accomplices such as Moloch and Belial and God has archangels such as Michael and Raphael. The protagonist in Paradise Lost is Satan, who is depicted a hero in the story, but in truth is the very nature of evil. Satan is loved my many after all a third of the angles followed him; also he is very charismatic and even leads the reader astray to make the assumption that he is good. The story makes you pity him and his cause, after all he was fighting not only himself but also for his followers and freedom.   Satan views God as the evil, he sees God as a tyrant who did not acknowledge his power and enslaves the angles....
