1.0 Introduction
1.1 Report Aims & Scope
The primary aim of the report is to develop a suitable information system for management and customers of Garbett Tours. The report will also address the changing external environment, external drivers enforcing changes in tourism industry, uses and impact of internet technology on all stakeholders and the key issues that are linked to system development. The scope of study is limited to the tasks highlighted above.
1.2 Changing External Environment
A business cannot operate in isolation because it needs to know what is happening within its vicinity. Changes in external environment will affect the functions of a business and also the strategies. The main factors that are responsible for changes in the external factors are:
Political: Changes in government policies can affect a business. For instance, Increase or decrease in national minimum wage
