At the same time starbucks has been serving customers with ground or whole bean coffee who are living at a distance through its mail order service called Encore.
Starbucks has a flat organizational structure. The senior management is easily approachable .Starbucks care and values its staff and treats them like partners and offers them higher wage and benefits like health and life insurance, disability and stock options. Also offer them a free pound of coffee each week.
Starbucks believe that the heart of its continued success lies between two cornerstones, the coffee and its people. Starbucks has differentiated itself from its competitors and is well positioned which has made a very high customer perceived value for starbucks when it comes to comparison.
