Some Scientific Truths From 'sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji'
...the world, we will find only the order to dedicatedly follow ones
leader without reasoning or questioning. It will seem that the use of ones own intelligence and thinking
is not encouraged. If some thoughts do not seem to be justified by scientific and logical thinking, the
followers are simply advised to accept those thoughts like an obedient slave. Acts like raising questions
and trying to seek scientific justification are neither permitted nor seem to be considered important.
Rather the whole strength will seem to be put on proving that religion and science are 2 different things
and are strong opponents of each other. The majority of world has been viewing and listening to religion
with this point of view. Perhaps they are helpless, because the views and messages that they have got
in legacy had almost no scientific point of view. Under the influence of absence of scientific thinking and
receiving none in the legacy, their preachers have strengthened the thought in common people that
religion and science have no relation with each other.
The religion and religious structure of the place (India) where Sikhism has born and flourished are
basically orthodox, undeveloped and non-scientific. Bearing the pain of slavery for centuries, the soul of
the inhabitants of this place had died. The ability to think has been curbed by force, self-respect has
been crushed. The Indian society as a whole has been turned into honorless, viewless and dareless
society. When the hope of good days dies forever for a community and then some revered person from
this slave community forecasts with a heavy heart,” O my countrymen! Now the shackles of your slavery
can only be broken by some supernatural power. Only a great soul can end your sorrows. Only your
God can come and save you religion. Less some miracle fulfills our wishes, there seems no hope... “
