Riordan manufacturing has a project implementation strategy of human resources management that will be able to manage human capital as part of the company objectives and growth, if the human capital inside the company doesn’t grow as a professional development and as a personal development, with a succession plan in place and benefits that motivate people, Riordan will not be able to create a new work ethic culture that will improve their employee satisfaction in their jobs which affects directly performance inside the company.
Riordian manufacturing may need to learn the hard way, which a well established human resource management system is certain to run a smooth operation. Before the 1980s it was thought that companies looked at human capital as how much quantity employees could produce in a given amount of time. The company only wanted quantity or number of units from the employee, and the only benefit given back to the employee was the weekly paycheck. In other words, work with what you got and built it; but build it quickly.
After that, new organizations model structure came into play new manufacturing systems came along such as the Japanese’s innovation with superior production techniques, that inspired the next generation CEOs and managers. Models, like TQM (Total Quality Management) and BTO (Build to Order) were adopted by many firms in order to compete. These models and many others were derived with the sole purpose of streamlining the employee performance and company growth. The larger firm the more difficult it will be to compensate for inefficient operations. To avoid inefficient operations and adequate management, these manufacturing systems look as a substantial importance the human resource management.
