Online Banking
...course Instructor of ‘Bank Management (FIN 464), as partial fulfilment of the course requirement. This report was assigned to us at the beginning of Spring-08 semester.
Objective of the report:
Our report has both short term and long term objectives. In the short term we want to look at different services banks provide to us as most of the people are not aware of online banking. Online banking is a new concept in our country and we try to look at why online banking is superior to traditional banking system. We also try to look at wheatear our findings match with what we have learnt in the class or not.
We have looked at online banking services provided worldwide and in our country. We have seen our online banking system is not that much popular like other countries and we are facing many difficulties. So our long term objective is to find out what the problems of online banking system has in our country and how we can minimize those problems. Our main concern of this report is to make online banking system popular by overcoming the difficulties.
Methodology:
We get information about online banking from both primary and secondary sources.
We have interviewed one of the DBBL executive and some of the branch managers of other banks. They were cooperative and gave valuable information to us about our report.
In case of secondary source information we go through the websites of different banks of Bangladesh and all over the world. We have also collected our information from different books, newspaper articles and journals.
Scope of the report:
From our study we can say that Bangladesh has a good opportunity to improve in the banking sector. As online banking system has lots of advantage and it is a convenient system, there is a scope for us to make it popular to people like other countries of the world.
