Narrative Summary Of Genesis
...or people who have different religions. What do they believe? We humans are here in this world for a reason, but why? What for? How did we get here? We all surely did come from our mother’s womb. Haven’t you ever wondered how humans came to exist? Who was the first man to step into this world? We are a small part of this world, but we are not the only ones on this planet. Where did the animals, plants, and creature that we see every day come from? If you open the Bible and read Genesis, all of your questions will be answered….or will they? Genesis is story of God’s love for his children on earth and we are his proudest design.
According to Genesis, God created the marvelous world in seven days. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Earth was void and formless. There was darkness everywhere and God’s spirit was upon the waters. When God said, “Let there be light”, there was light. He then divided darkness from light; he called the dark night and light day. The first day of creation was made of this evening and day.
On the second day of creation, God created a firmament and divided waters under the firmament and waters above the firmament. God called the firmament heaven. God’s agenda on the third day was to gather waters to one place and dry land to one place. He called the dry land earth, and the water seas. He then created different kinds of fruits, grass, herbs and vegetables.
Fourth day of creation continued as God made lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day and night. He made two great lights. The lights were sun, moon and the stars. After this he divided signs, seasons, days and years. The sun was made to rule over the day and the moon to rule over the night.
