...on the Parliamentary decision to improve the use of locally generated renewable energy sources and the fact that they might reduce the impact on the surrounding environment, we have designed a control system for an Environmentally-adapted Intelligent Home. The control system will anticipate which energy source to use accor-ding to any given circumstances, by using pre-set criteria and variables. The control system combines different sources of energy by applying second order feedback. The intelligence is not to alternate between different energy sources, but to change between or use several energy sources in parallel without human involvement. The design consists of constants and variables that influence the choice of energy source, communication techniques and the functionalities the control system should include.

Inledning
Det talas i dagsläget allt oftare om intelligenta hus och hur de kan underlätta för oss i vårt dagliga liv. När vi har studerat olika projekt visar det sig emellertid att det handlar om intelligenta kylskåp, snabb internetuppkoppling via bredband och andra relativt enkla tillämpningar. Vår bedömning är att för att få kallas för intelligent hus måste där finnas mervärden i form av mer utvecklade tjänster och pro-duk-ter som svarar mot användarnas behov. Det intelligenta är inte att ha ett antal Mb att utnyttja, utan att det finns avancerade tjänster som i sin tur utnyttjar bredbandskommunikationen.
