Microsoft’s strengths are their ability to design and create user-friendly, innovative software and sell it to the public at reasonable prices. “Its market share in server operating software has grown to more than 70%, while Windows still holds a 93% share of desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office commands a 97% share of personal productivity applications”( Microsoft in Europe: The Real Stakes, 8.1-9). Microsoft’s weakness is the multitude of Windows software offered to the public.
