...includes the vehicles that transport personnel the equipment used, even the gear that they wear. However nothing is more important that the communication used the give, send and receive information between dispatch, apparatus and between other units. Communications as a whole have evolved greatly over the many decades. No evolution has had more effect on the rescue and public service sector that the Mobile Dispatch Terminal (MDT).
By connecting the Radio, the Vehicle, GPS, the Computer and finally the MDT the progression and evolution is shown and how each has affected the public service agencies, specifically the Fire Service. Each technology has its negative and positive impact as assessed in the paper, however each technology collectively working together overwhelmingly create a better means of communication and allows better service to the community.

Call of Duty
Our main focus for this presentation is on communication. We plan on focusing on Mobile Dispatch/Data Terminal (M.D.T.) which is used in the public service sector; mainly police and fire departments. The M.D.T. device is used in these sectors to interconnect the departments in order to communicate in a more efficient and effective way with one another. The technologies in which we are going to relate the M.D.T. will showcase computers, GPS, vehicles, communication and the internet in which these technologies interlink each other for both positive and negative impacts.
