...I believe that Howard Shore composed a real master piece for this time. I enjoyed every minute of this movie. It was one of the best scored music composer for 2001, proven to be the perfect composer for the music of The Fellowship of the Ring. I would describe it as melodic and a very passionate music film. The music brings the movie to life an\d strengths the images of the screen by the sounds of black music and the choirs with music that little by little goes intensifying making you feel like part of the movie. The opening of the movie begins with music that certainly is the perfect introduction and leading us to be part of the next chapters. On the chapter concerning the Hobbits, I reviewed the theme and I would say it is a musical piece with a sweet bright hearted melody. It is a vivid song which brings into play the descriptions of the Shire. The music puts us inside this peaceful village, with innocent little people, where everyone knows each other, giving this scenario a playful and cheerful little jig inspired theme. It is performed by staccato, strings, fiddle, dulcimer and accordions. It's really a great little tune that has a tendency to occupy our mind for hours, refusing to leave. Shore also uses his skill to portrait deep touching music that transmits to the viewers an enormous mystical powers used by the characters and objects in the story. The other musical key for this movie the fellowship of the Ring is an important ingredient which is simply the Celtic theme tune which at times is played on whistle and the songs by Enya. Her atmospheric Celtic vocals seemed totally at home in the movie the Lord of the Rings. She sings the love theme for Aragon and Arwen. All these different influences are effortlessly integrated, giving the movie a feeling of being complex but a consistent story which extends to both time and the wide variety of territories...
