An Introduction To Global Warming
The Earth has its way of keeping us at the right temperature, this is done by the atmosphere. The atmosphere, surrounding the Earth, is like much larger version of a greenhouse. Light energy from the sun can get through the atmosphere to warm the Earth. Once it is in though, the light energy does not all escape but is trapped within the Earth to keep us warm constantly. However if greenhouse gasses are increased, less and less light energy from the sun would be able to escape, as a result the Earth would get hotter.
An Introduction To The Greenhouse Effect
The greenhouse effect is the reason that we are kept warm and alive. It is not caused by man, it is completely natural. The atmosphere is full of greenhouse gasses. They help control the temperature of the Earth by allowing the sun’s heat energy in but not letting all of it out when it is radiated back from the surface of the Earth. However if there were too many greenhouse gasses In the atmosphere there would not be enough heat energy escaping and the Earth would become much hotter, (example in diagram)...
