Jimi Hendrix
...guitarist alive and despite the fact that he is dead, he is still considered one of the best guitarists even today. He was born 27th of November 1942 in Seattle named Johnny Allen Hendrix at birth by his mother, Lucile, who was only seventeen years old when she gave birth to him. Jimi's childhood was rather tough since his mother did not really care for him as a mother should, he was put in temporary care of friends to Lucile and sometimes relatives. His father, James Allen Hendrix, was released from his Army duty and when he came back he changed Jimi's name to James Marshall Hendrix in memory of his deceased brother, Leon Marshall Hendrix. Jimi's father had a hard time finding a steady employment after the second world war which led them to suffer financial hardship. That is not the only things that made Jimi's childhood hard in any way but also that he had two brothers and two sisters who was adopted due to their sicknesses but one brother , Leon Hendrix. Also when he was nine years old his parents divorced, later on, his mother passed away (1958). He was sent to his Grandmother at times due to the unstable household while his brother Leon was sent to temporary welfare care for period. Nonetheless Jimi grew up as a shy and sensitive boy, deeply affected by the conditions of poverty and neglect he experienced. Due to everything that did not go so well for the young boy, Hendrix got to experience what was unusual for an afro american teenager in his era, when in high school there was a vast variety types of people, Jews, Asians, European and African students.
A the age of 15, about the same time his mother died, Hendrix acquired his first acoustic guitar for a fair price from his fathers friend. The guitar replaced his one-stringed ukulele his father found when cleaning out a garage, even with one single string Hendrix was able to play a great number of songs....
