...The Roman Empire was a triumph empire that flourished over any prior empires and even empires that were yet to come. This was a period of enormous power and capital. During 66-70 C.E. it was religious tension between the Roman Government and Jewish populace. The Jewish community practiced the religion of Judaism. While most Romans were stoic followers a minority were of the new Christian faith, they were facing a bigger threat with religion said to be causing great danger and disorder to social classes. In 66 C.E. Roman Emperor Nero sent representatives to retrieve money from Judaea, a small Roman province. Which eventually became substantially poor and many land owning peasants had been forced to give up there land. Roman taxation was something the Romans done for sixty years so it was time for the Jews to pay up because of the decline of the Jewish peasantry. In 67 the Temple authorities had elected generals, ordering them to take charge.
Josephus Flavius was the Jewish general who surrendered to the Romans giving them information, placing him in safe ground with the Romans and also surrendering in attempt to seize the ports making it difficult for Roman army to land great force. However, Rome was still ordered by new commanding Emperor Titus Caesar who was appointed by his father Vespasian to take charge an erase any trace of Judaism in Jerusalem and any Jewish rebel who were unwilling to surrender. Rome was prepared to conquer there land sending thousands of causalities into slavery.
