Introduction
The world is shaped by a great many things the largest of these world shaping factors is religion. When we talk about religion we must talk about the two most common Islam and Christianity. That is what we will be discussing today but not just the religions themselves, today we will be focusing on the most recognizable figures in these religions Jesus Christ and Mohammed I will attempt to separate out the fact from fiction in the history of there lives. This paper will trace the lives of these two prophets their deaths and how there actions set the direction of their respective faiths
Fact and Faith
First we will discuss the things that are provable by historical standards. The main source of information of the life and time of Jesus are the gospels of the Old and New Testaments of the bible as well as gospels not included in the bible It is a well regarded fact that a man named Jesus Christ lived and was born around zero of what is the Common Era and that he was saved from Herod when his parents fled to Egypt during the time of the mass murder of the children. There is very little on the early life of Jesus other than his birth and the fact he had been to Jerusalem with his parents. There is also very little about his early manhood years we do know that he was trained as a carpenter. The next time in history we hear of Jesus is at the age of thirty when he asks John the Baptist to baptize him. Jesus chose twelve apostles to spread the world of salvation.
