In this essay, I would like to share my life experiences in Sweden and Hong Kong. I have been in Jönköping for a month now. I was so excited as this is the first time that I have ever been to Sweden. She is the most beautiful and gorgeous place I have ever seen. The people here are very friendly and are always all smiles when I ask them questions. Moreover, they have a high lever of environmental consciousness. The streets are clean and the air is fresh. This is rarely seen in Hong Kong. You would be horrified by all sorts of pollutions in Hong Kong, such as land pollution and air pollution. It is hard to inhale clean air because cars and factories are discharging exhaust gas into the air. There is also a lot of rubbish on the streets even though garbage bins are easily found everywhere. Hong Kong is a small place with approximately 7 million people. The population in Hong Kong is denser than that of Sweden and therefore, it is usually very tight and crowded in most of the places in Hong Kong. Last but not least, the lifestyle is quite different between both places also. I enjoy living here very much because Sweden holds a special attraction for me.
Recently, I am actually quite afraid of being asked questions by someone or talking to other non-chinese speaking people because I am worried that I do not understand what they are talking about. Language skills hinder me from communicating efficiently with the others. According to Samovar, Porter & McDaniel, language is the basic tool by which humans make society function.
