...The Earth has been endowed with abundance of natural resources such as water, coal or even the animals that we eat. The earth has contained human beings for so many centuries without having failed to provide them with necessities needed for survival. However, the turn of the twenty-first century has seen our planet beleaguered by myriad problems, most of them were the aftermath of mankind’s cupidity. The Earth has never been too small for humanity, the fact that it has contained both mankind and animals for eons is a proof that Mother Earth has the right amount of natural resources for the future generation of mankind.
It is never a doubt that Earth appears to be shrinking year by year. Globalization has caused the world to be interlinked, thus creating an illusion of a shrinking world. This may appear figurative, however, the fact that globalization has integrated the world spawned agents of doom to diminish the natural resources on Earth. The corollary of this is clear – mankind will not have enough to feed himself in the future if the problem persists. The depletion of natural resources and habitats will certainly pose a serious threat to the survival of mankind since the relationship between the two has been symbiotic. This will, no doubt, result in overpopulation in certain countries where the natural resources are not enough to keep up with the rising birth rates. As a result, the mindset of the Earth being too small to sustain the survival of mankind is formed.
Although as human beings, it is natural that we lament the loss of our Mother Earth’s precious resources whenever skeptics of industrialization lambaste the horrendous impact of industrialization has on natural habitat, one of the main resources for mankind’s survival.
