Ethics in the academic environment is changing like never before. Not for the better either! Cheating is the most common violation of the student's code of conduct. Reasons for cheating can be contributed by the technology available, grade inflation and the lack of student integrity and responsibility. Educators lack support from administrators if the student is a star player, a child of a major donor, or is favored in some other way. Cheating becomes easier to get away with, when no one speaks up. And it doesn’t benefit the student, because if they don't put in the effort then their purpose for an education isn't of any use for their future goals.
The technology available now entices students to take the quick fix to accomplish their academic goals. One technology that students utilize to cheat is the Internet. Many web site's, such as www.echeat.com, are established for students to take the easy way out of writing a paper. There are countless numbers of essays that cover every subject sought out for. By the click of a mouse and a small payment, students can replace their anxiety and lack of time into an effortless and easy replacement. Hacking into the campus' computer and changing grades has caused many students to get expelled. Students get expelled because teachers keep in mind what their student's academic level are like. They'll do their best to catch anyone's work that doesn't seem to match up to the grade they should be expected to get. However, teachers might not know that 2 way radio leads to one student to taking the test and the other sitting at a computer ready to give answers out.
