Some of these areas can be through local shelters established to aid in disaster recovery but more important to gain recognition and trust of the locals. Because a large portion of the population is under the age of 15 then a program centered around education and athletics programs will help increase the recognition across the whole island of Kava. When children get involved in safe healthy activities and our organization is at the vanguard sponsoring them the rest of the population will here of how good the company is from their children.
Our second area of focus should be on the building of alliances with local, state, and national government along with vender organizations that can provide us with local resources as to reduce the amount of importing goods from the states. Building key relationships and communication channels now will open doors and reduce red tape down the road if things need to move quickly. Those same key relationships can provide valuable information and insight into what is happening when a problem needs to be addressed. Decision-making should be done on the local level whenever possible to increase timely reaction to possible disasters that seem to plague the island. An open door policy should be established early on allowing everyone’s opinion to count and be valued.
Human Resources
The key to a proactive human resources department is in the organizational goals that are established in the beginning. The first goal should be to protect the rights of all employees that are working out of the local offices. In order to do this compliance requirements and training should be set up.
