...Silas, because he knows where a secret keystone is hidden. Robert Langdon, a Harvard Symbology professor, is in Paris on business. A policeman is sent to his room because they think he might have information on Sauniere's death. Langdon had plans to meet Sauniere for drinks but had their meeting canceled. Langdon goes to the Louvre with the policeman and meets Bezu Fache, the police captain.
Chapters 49
Fache shows Langdon to Sauniere's body, which is positioned strangely. Secretly Fache suspects Langdon to be Sauniere's murderer. Meanwhile, you get introduced to Manuel Aringarosa, the president of Opus Dei, a religious cult, I think. He is on his way to Rome. Back in Paris, Langdon explains to Fache the significance of the way the Sauniere arranges himself before dying. There are other clues that Langdon points out. Sauniere wrote a message next to his body. It is a clue. Langdon suggest that Sauniere meant to arrange his body in the shape of one of Da Vinci's famouse drawings, The Vitruvian Man. Sophie Neveu, Sauniere's granddaughter and cryptologist shows up at the museum claiming she has figured out the code. She tells Langdon to call the U.S. Embassy but the number she gives him is to her own answering machine which tells Langdon that he is in trouble.

Silas arrives and the church Saint-Sulpice because this is where Sauniere told him the ancient secret lies. Langdon uses the restroom to get away from Fache. Sophie meets Langdon in the bathroom to explain her message some more. She tells him that her grandfather wanted her to find him. She tells him that her grandfather has left them clues to something. Silas moves toward the church
