1 Introduction
Nowadays, we live in a fast developing and changing world. This changing environment becomes obvious when one looks at the improving technology, privatization processes, cultural norms, economic perspectives etc. Especially, due to the globalization process and the following privatization/liberalization processes, which are all concentrated on efficiency and on the maximization of shareholder value, the discussion about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) becomes more and more significant.
Corporate Social Responsibility remains an important business concept in a world of raising globalization. (Wühle 2007:23)
In the past the concept has not been well defined and in China it is a very current topic, as the country is adopted into the supply chains of major global players. Unfortunately the ideals of Corporate Social Responsibility differ from the actual production processes in China.
