...an exact connection linking the present and future. As a school finance officer, I get to see firsthand the values of the citizens in the Carroll County School District community. Although I have my own viewpoint and outlook of how the children of the school district should be educated, the community as a whole has to come together to educate the minds of tomorrow. Throughout this course, I have learned that the values and principles of the community should be shared between the citizens of Carroll County and myself to make a better society for our children.
How my Position as Business Manager Influences the Carroll County’s Community’s Parents and Students
As I continued my readings of the Kirkpatrick Signature Series, I contemplated how to show the correlation between my place of employment and the Carroll County community. My reason for choosing my position is because I am not active in the community in which I reside. I am employed in a different county than which I live. My job as the business manager for Carroll County School District enables me to analyze how my position influences the local community. Firstly, it allows me to promulgate and establish the highest standards of ethics and efficiency in business methods and practices for schools, and to make them available to its members and the interested public. Secondly, it allows me to engage in a program of professional development and improvement of persons carrying on activities in the field of schools administration for the benefit of schools and school systems.
