...Having a person who constantly feels pain, showing anger outbursts, constantly feeling confused or causing confusion, hurting you in one way or another, and not being able to predict their mood as it shifts from one way to another. They could be strongly sexually active, or abusing others or substance, constantly making suicidal threats or acting self inflicted violence, devalues self or you and either clings or pushes you away. It seems like an impossible thing to deal with, or possibly scary right? It is! It’s one scary personality disorder to try to deal or live with.
My question I ask myself constantly, are borderlines case impossible? From my own observation, I don’t believe that it is impossible as it clearly will show later in this paper, that one borderline woman was able to overcome this disorder, it wont be as easy like a stroll on the beach, but a struggle getting out of a barbed wire. This question are common struggle in the child welfare system, as from what I noticed was the fact the therapists would typically attempt at not diagnosing an adolescent because typically the Children services would consider them impossible and brush them off to mental health agencies and let them deal with it. The other observation would be the overuse of medications to “tame” the borderline, only causing them becoming a robot without a potential to feel and simply put them in a psychiatry ward without the ability to explore or support the borderline child or family.
How do we know the borderlines are borderlines not another diagnosis; does the diagnosis overlap others or can cause confusion amongst alternative disorders? Are there any “cure” to this, and what is it? What is the most effective therapy and what could be the obstacle of therapy? What causes this disorder, is it a biological/genetic affect, or an environmental affect? How does having this disorder...
