...has just begun, giving the players a much needed break. All the fans watch as the players file down the corridor like ants on their way home taking the queen much needed food.
Marcus goes to his own corner of the locker room to contemplate the events of the first half. As he looks around at his surroundings, he notices that his sense somehow have become more heightened. He is noticing things that he wouldn’t have paid attention to before. Like the way the forest green paint is chipping along the side of the lockers, from over use. The slamming of the door must have shaken the foundation revealing the true mother of pearl color lying underneath.
As time seems to slow down, Marcus leans back into the medium, tomb shaped locker to relax. Without realizing it, his mind drifts back to when he first fell in love with basketball. He recalls the sweltering day as his father walked him down to the infamous Rucker Park to witness the street ball tournament. As he passed through the streets of Manhattan, he noticed all sorts of people making their way to the courts.
Basketball is a ball sport in which two teams of five players each try to score points by throwing a ball through a hoop. It is primarily an indoor sport, played in a relatively small playing area, called the court. The speed and grace of the game, combined with the close proximity of the spectators to the action, make basketball an exciting spectator sport. It is one of the most popular sports in the United States, and is also popular in other parts of the world, including South America, Europe, and Asia.
