...and found many similarities in my current working environment. In addition, I found it useful to know the related topic because I always have a misconception about CCM. I often have an impression that CCM is a topic which is very theory base. However, in our daily working life, it is imperative to understand the underlying meaning of cross-culture and communication and the strategy behind it. Time files during the four days lesson which was both interesting and informative. I hope in time to come I can put in more practise on what I have learned.
Globalization
Globalization can be defined as the process of social, political, economic, cultural and technological integration among countries around the world. In recent years, globalization has accelerated, creating opportunities and challenges to global business and international management.
Pros of Globalization
Global trade and investment continue to grow which bring wealth to many countries. Goods and services are sold at a lower price, greater availability of goods, better jobs and easy access to technology, countries will reap benefits of large amounts of capital inflow which will stimulate growth and development. There is culture blend with each other, trying to know about the other’s cultural preferences and in the process. There will be a more influx of information between tow countries, which do not have anything in common between them.
Cons of Globalization
Companies are outsourcing work to Asian countries since the cost labour is low and profits the company which results in Europeans losing jobs or their business being outsourced. There is also a threat of corporate ruling the world because there is a lot of power, which is invested in them due to globalization.
